Like the paintings of Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, this season's drapes were seen taking on a life of their own. Rich velvets twisted and turned at Balenciaga, while sheer georgettes folded at Gauri and Nainika. The sari was dissected and restructured at Alexander McQueen, but it was Gaurav Gupta who took fabric gathering to the next level. Anything goes on so long as you wear it with a twist.
